Amanda and Rich celebrated their wedding at Askham Hall in the April sunshine. Theirs was the first of two weddings in a week I shot at Askham Hall and the neighbouring St Peter’s Church. Rich grew up in Askham village and got ready at his mum’s house just down the road, so it was a particularly personal venue for them. With the sun shining all day, Amanda and Rich were both able to walk to St Peter’s Church for the ceremony and then lead their guests back to Askham Hall through the ‘secret gate’. Askham Hall is a unique wedding venue, with its beautiful rooms for getting ready, extensive lawns and grounds for an outside reception, Garden Cafe for cosy mingling and Bank Barn for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. Watch this space for the next wedding, coming shortly.
